Family Campground Policy
Our goal is for everyone to have an enjoyable stay. Please become familiar with the following policies and procedures which will help accomplish that goal. CHECK OUT TIME: 12 Noon. This is for those who are only on the grounds for a limited amount of time. Please re-register if you plan to stay longer. We may have someone who already reserved a spot. QUIET TIME: Campground quite hours are 11:00 P.M. - 8:00 A.M. Please be respectful of your neighbors. ADULTS: The person(s) registered is responsible for the conduct of all members of their party, including any guest, at their campsite and on the campground. CHILDREN: Children are expected to be at their campsite during quiet hours. Exceptions will be posted. No children under 18 are to be left unattended on the campgrounds. Exceptions may be made, but must be approved by the Camp Director, Office Manager or Family Campground Host. You will be requested to sign a form that lets all parties know of the arrangement. CONDUCT:
As a Christian Camp and Campground, we expect everyone to act appropriately and to avoid the appearance of evil. Violent, abusive, loud,
boisterous, vulgar, lewd, wanton, obscene language and conduct will not be permitted. PAY PHONE: A payphone is located in the lobby of the Welcome Center . FIREWORKS: No fireworks of any kind are allowed on camp property. This includes sparklers. GRASS CUTTING: Individuals with a unit on a designated lot are responsible for keeping the grass cut around your unit. The camp staff will mow to within five (5)feet of your unit. If grass is allowed to grow more than six (6)inches, RLCA personnel will cut the grass and you will be billed $25. Mowers and trimmers are located in the Family Campground storage buildinglocated next to the fenced in basketball court. WASTE WATER DISPOSAL:
RLCA personnel will make a weekly round to empty the holding tank of Family Campground Seasonal Members. The sign-up sheet is in the Welcome Center kitchen. Please make sure you check the correct lot number. If a second dumping is required during the week, there will be a $25 charge. The Michigan Department of Health DOES NOT ALLOW for any discharge of grey water directly on the ground. Owners of units discharging grey water directly on the ground will be given a verbal reminder. A second occurrence will receive a written notice. A third occurrence will result in their being asked to remove the unit from the grounds. ELECTRIC HOOKUP AND WATER LINES: Per State of Michigan Regulation, there are to be no buried electric or water lines servicing any camper. ALL lines are to be above ground. Water lines are to be the white type designed for camper use.
OFF-SITE STORAGE:
If you have a boat trailer that needs to be stored, it is to be kept in the designated area at the Maintenance Barn. You will be responsible for keeping your area neat and the grass cut around your trailer. If RLCA personnel has to cut the grass you will be billed $25. SWIMMING: Please do not swim during scheduled Youth Camp Swim Times. These change from week to week and Office Personnel will be able to answer any questions concerning the session schedule. FISHING:
There is NO fishing from the swim dock, in the swim area, or from camp watercraft (this includes the Paddle Boats). Please note the No Fishing signs at the waterfront and their location. Fish hooks and camper's feet are not a good combination. BOAT USAGE:
Paddle Boats and Canoes are available for Family Campground use. Our State Licensing Office REQUIRES ALL individuals using camp watercraft to wear a Life Jacket. There are no exceptions to this rule. Life Jackets can be found in the Family Campground Storage Shed. Please return them to the shed when you are finished. The individual responsible at the campsite will be responsible for overseeing watercraft use. All children must be accompanied by an adult while in camp watercraft. If you have your own boat, please do not use the swim dock for loading and unloading. PARKING:
Please ask your guests to park in the provided spaces along Vestaburg Road. Please limit the number of cars parked at your campsite to two (2). No parking of boats, boat trailer or other trailers is allowed at your campsite. SPEED LIMIT:
All gas powered and electric vehicles 5 MPH in the campground area. Camp Trail 10 MPH or less. GOLF CARTS:
Golf Carts, Mopeds, Three Wheelers, ATVs, etc. are to be driven slowly and with caution in the campground area. Youth under fifteen (15) are to be accompanied by an adult when driving any of the above. PETS:
We feel your pet is a part of your family
and is welcome as such. However, please keep your pet QUIET, UNDER CONTROL, OUT OF BUILDINGS AND ON A SIX (6) FOOT LEASH while outside your camping unit. Richland Township does have a leash law for pets. We expect you to pick up and deposit droppings in the dumpster or other appropriate receptacle. SERVICE BUILDING:
Please help keep these facilities clean and in working order. If you notice anything that needs repair and/or replacement, contact the Camp Office. TOKENS for the washers and dryers are available at the Camp Office. GARBAGE & TRASH:
Please help keep the facilities clean by placing all trash in the dumpster. Trash, debris and other miscellaneous items are not to be allowed to collect around your campsite. CAMPFIRES:
ALL campfires are to be contained within a fire ring. You may provide your own fire ring or use one belonging to the camp. DO NOT leave your fire unattended. Put out fires before turning in for the night. During extremely dry weather you may be requested not to have a fire at your campsite. DRESS CODE:
1. No short shorts. Cheeks should not be showing. 2. No two-piece bathing suits. If that is all you have, please wear a T-shirt over the suit. 3. Straps on tops should be at least 1" in width.. 4. No bare midriffs. Shirt/Blouse should come down over the top of pants. 5. Pants are to be kept pulled up. This is a “Down with crack” zone. 6. Underwear is not to be visible. Under . . . wear. There are to be no bra straps, waist bands or boxers visible. 7. Shirts with beer logos, satanic themes,or other objectionable material will not be allowed. Clothing sporting the Abercrombie logo and other labels associated with pornography is not to be worn. 8. For your safety, please wear shoes on the campgrounds. This dress code is consistent with what we are asking our campers to wear. You are being asked to
comply so that a mixed message is not being sent to our young people. . MANAGEMENT:
The management of Rock Lake Christian Assembly assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries or losses from any cause that may occur while staying on the campgrounds.
